Toronto superstar Mitch Marner called out for his lack of effort
The NHL playoffs are very well underway and as expected, Canadian teams are getting roasted by the minute. The Maple Leafs were working to level the series at one and while Auston Matthews led his team to victory, it was quite the contrary for Mitch Marner.
A former NHL First Round Pick, Jordan Schmaltz took it to 'X' (Twitter) to point just how obvious Marner lacked commitment on a very particular sequence. Marner was called out for a play where he let the Bruins' defenceman Charlie McAvoy win a race to the corner:
The ole bailout but make it look like you're competing. Classic. I used to do this myself from time to time. Not trying to hate on the fella Mitchie Sheets $$ but you ain't gonna win anything playing with a parachute on your back at this time of year that's just faxx.
