The Vancouver Canucks have been without a captain since earlier this year when they dealt Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders and there are a handful of candidates on this current roster to take over the role.

Among those candidates are Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes, but could J.T. Miller be under consideration?

A recent article on CanucksArmy discussed the possibility of Miller wearing the 'C' on his chest and brought up several good points to naming him the team's 14th captain in franchise history.

They mentioned the fact that Miller can do it all including putting the puck in the back of the net, throwing a big hit, winning face-offs and can drop the mitts to either protect a teammate or spark the team. Since his arrival in Vancouver, Miller leads the Canucks in several categories including hits, powerplay points, shorthanded points and game-winning goals.

Miller is also set to begin a seven-year contract that comes with a cap hit of $8 million and will keep him in Vancouver until after the 2029-30 season. He's going to be a Vancouver Canuck for a long-time and there's no doubt that if he's not named captain, he'll be apart of the team's leadership group by wearing an 'A'.
