Hoglander will look to develop important chemistry with Pettersson and Kuzmenko that will keep him on that top line, which will likely be the teams top line to start this season.
The 22-year-old Hoglander had an up-and-down season last year. He was only able to play in 25 games on the NHL team, scoring 9 points. By comparison to his last two seasons, those numbers are not good enough for Hoglander's standard.
The Canucks sent Hoglander down to their AHL affiliate, Abbotsford Canucks, where he played solid, scoring 32 points in 45 games in the regular season and adding 6 points in 6 playoff games. The Canucks will hope that he is ready to step up and play with the big guns this year.
The Canucks will have Teddy Blueger centering their second line with Di Giuseppe and Beauviller as his wingers. Group A's third line consists of Raty centering Dries and Studnicka. Rounding out group A's forwards, Max Sasson will be centering McDonough and Klimovich.
With training camp beginning today, each player will be anxious to earn their spot on the team. We will see how each line performs as Canucks training camp develops over the next few weeks.
