LATEST | A statement has been made regarding Elias Pettersson & J.T. Miller
It was a big night for Vancouver Canucks forwards Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller who both recorded multi-point efforts in a 6-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Hockey Day in Canada.
Both Pettersson and Miller finished the game with two points each (one goal, one assist), helping the Canucks record their 31st victory of the season, seven away from matching their win total last season.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Sportsnet Stats shared that Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller are the fastest duo in Vancouver Canucks history to each record 60 points, hitting the mark in 46 game. The previous record was set by the Sedin twins in 2009-10, who both had 60 points in 48 games.
"J.T. Miller & Elias Pettersson
Fastest duo in #Canucks history to each record 60 points in a season (46 GP)
Previous recordholders: Daniel & Henrik Sedin (48 GP) in 2009-10"
When Pettersson and Miller score, the Canucks are almost guaranteed a victory, as Sportsnet Stats points out below. The Canucks have now won ten straight games when Pettersson and Miller find the back of the net.
"#Canucks have won 10 straight games when J.T. Miller & Elias Pettersson both score a goal"
Pettersson and Miller will both look to continue their quest towards 100-point seasons on Monday night as the Vancouver Canucks host the Chicago Blackhawks at Rogers Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET and can be viewed nationally on Sportsnet.
