LATEST | Bold statement made regarding Tocchet's debut behind the Canucks' bench
There are many reasons as to why the Vancouver Canucks have has such a great start to the 2023-24 season and one of those reasons is head coach Rick Tocchet.
Since being hired by the Canucks earlier in 2023, Tocchet has enforced a style of play that the team has adopted well and ensures that the team is prepared night in, night out.
On his podcast, Chris Johnston of TSN was discussing potential favourites for the Jack Adams Award, which is handed out annually to the league's best head coach and mentioned that as of right now, Rick Tocchet is leading the way.
Johnston added the Canucks' start to the season and the fact that Tocchet turned the team around since arriving as major factors leading to him being a favourite for the award.
In his 64 games behind the bench for Vancouver, Tocchet has a record of 38-21-5 and currently has the team in a playoff spot two months into the 2023-24 campaign.
