Last week, several members of the Vancouver Canucks were on their way to Toronto for the All-Star Weekend, not knowing they'd be in for a big surprise.

One day before the festivities began, the Canucks made a big splash in the trade market, acquiring forward Elias Lindholm from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a package that included Andrei Kuzmenko, Hunter Brzustewicz and a first-round pick this year.

During his media availability, Brock Boeser was asked about the Elias Lindholm trade, and it's safe to say he's pretty pumped to have him in Vancouver. Boeser also mentioned that the team will miss Andrei Kuzmenko, calling him a 'great dude.'

"Kuzy's a great dude, and we're going to miss him. playing Lindy over the years is a guy that's always been the really hard player to play against his skill, score goals and works hard. So I think that's the standard we've been trying to create."

Lindholm has had a bit of a down year in Calgary, scoring only nine goals in 49 games and 23 assists. Still, there's no doubt that he'll be able to put up plenty of points with this Canucks forward group, and it is going to be interesting to see how he fits into the lineup and where he'll play.

The Boden, Sweden native will make his Vancouver Canucks debut on Tuesday night as the team kicks off a road trip in Carolina against the Hurricanes. The puck drop is set for 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Pacific.
