Conor Garland is litterally the most popular name on social media as we speak. Ever since the winger changed agent and asked for permission to speak with other teams, Garland's been linked to numerous teams in various trade proposals.
TRADING GARLAND: NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS
The Canucks have made it known to the public that they'd be willing to retain up to 30% of Garland's cap hit in hopes of accelerating the process and yet nothing has come to conclusion.
Frank Seravalli was on Sekeres and Price earlier today to talk on the subject and made quite the statement on that regard:
''It's the term...they can try & find another piece that's out of place somewhere...the contracts aren't lining up that make it so that this can be an equally destructive trade for both teams.''
It appears that teams aren't keen on the idea of acquiring Garland without dumping a contract of their own, which makes the list of potential suitors a little thinner.
Still under contract for the next three years at a $4.95M cap hit, the winger collected 46 points through 81 games last season and now has 2 through the team's first 4 games while playing along Elias Pettersson and Andrei Kuzmenko. Perhaps if he put his name down on the score sheet more it would help him getting a trade out of Vancouver.
