LATEST | Kitchener Rangers make statement involving Hunter Brzustewicz
2023 was a year to remember for Vancouver Canucks defensive prospect Hunter Brzustewicz, who is playing for the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League.
In a post on X, the Rangers highlighted Hunter Brzustewicz's strong 2023 after he recorded 87 points (11 goals, 76 assists) in 73 games between January and December.
"What a year for @brzustewicz4 ‼️
#OHLRangers | @Canucks" The Rangers said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
The Washington, Michigan native currently leads the entire Ontario Hockey League, forward or defenceman, in points with 57 (seven goals, 50 assists) in 36 games. His 57 points tie his previous career-high he set during the 2022-23 season, which he got in 68 games.
It's going to be interesting to keep an eye on Hunter Brzustewicz throughout the final two months of the Ontario Hockey League season as he has his sights set on winning not only the Max Kaminsky Trophy as Defenceman of the Year, but also the Red Tilson Trophy as the Most Outstanding Player, which hasn't been won by a defenceman since Ryan Ellis during the 2010-11 season.
