LATEST | Massive development regarding the former Canuck Brandon Sutter and his NHL future
In July 2015, the Canucks traded with the Pittsburgh Penguins and acquired Brandon Sutter. An experience, versatile two-way forward who ended up playing six seasons with the Canucks.
Sutter was badly with Covid, and it kept him out of the game for quite a while since he hasn't played in over two years. Bob Stauffer, the Oilers commentator, confirmed big news for the centerman as he announced that Sutter would be signing a Professional Try Out (PTO) with the Edmonton Oilers ahead of the team's training camp.
At 34, Sutter feels like he still has gas in the tank, and he's definitely the type of player the Oilers could use:
The forward last suited up with the Canucks in 2020-2021 when he collected 12 points in 43 games. Sutter was a first-round selection (7th) all in 2007. The Carolina Hurricanes picked him.
