LATEST | NHL makes another gratifying announcement regarding Thatcher Demko
It's no secret that the Vancouver Canucks have emerged as one of the NHL's powerhouses to begin the 2023-2024 season. Thatcher Demko and company possess the league's sixth-best record at 14-7-1.
Despite dropping two of their three games last week, Demko was named the NHL's top Goalie of the Week -- sporting a league-best 2.01 GAA in three games. Check out this wonderful diving save from Friday night's 5-1 win in Seattle on Kraken forward Eeli Tolvanen:
Demko now sits 4th among all qualified goaltenders with a 2.18 GAA, 6th in save percentage at .925, and is tied for 2nd with 10 wins.
Despite dropping two of three contests this week and four of the last six, the Canucks are always given a chance to win when Demko tends the goal.
