Prior to the beginning of the season, in an attempt to dump salary, Patrik Allvin sent Jason Dickinson and a 2nd Round Pick to the BlackHawks in return for Riley Stillman.

Dickinson ended up putting decent numbers this season, while Stillman's play was critized on mutiple occasion during the season. However, at the trade deadline, Allvin managed some wizardry when he sent Stillman to Buffalo and acquired a 2021 3rd Rounder, Josh Bloom. Bloom has been sensational ever since the Canucks acquired him. Helped his team to the league's final in the OHL and he's been a clear standout in the team's development camp so far.

The Canucks held their first inter squad scrimmage and Bloom collected 2 points, a superb assist on Jonathan Lekkerimaki's goal and later scored the O.T. Winner. Here's how the play went:

Bloom collected 71 points in 68 OHL games and added 12 in 20 in the post season. At this point in time, this deal is looking like a steal for the Canucks.
