LATEST | Trade Proposal emerges sending Conor Garland to the Predators
The Canucks are looking to deal Conor Garland after the 27-year-old requested a trade. The ideal asking price is a right-handed defenseman. The Sekeres and Price show with Jeff Patterson danced the idea of a Garland trade that would bring back, 25-year-old, Dante Fabbro to the Canucks.
Matt Sekeres asks Patterson "...Garland with 1.5 Million retained for Dante Fabbro, would you do that?"
Patterson speaks about Fabbro and his contract coming up at the end of this year. Along with that, the Canucks also need to look at their winger situation and determine whether they need to bring back a replacement for Garland.
Patterson says "In a perfect world, you could move this player, I think it makes perfect sense that you would try to target the defence."
Dante Fabbro had 11 points in 79 games on the Preds last season. The Canucks could play the dependable defenseman with Quinn Hughes, who they've struggled to find a partner for.
The Canucks have lots of time to get a deal done with Garland. Dante Fabbro is an attractive piece and we will see how it plays out in the future.
