LATEST | Transaction completed with the New York Islanders: Bo Horvat opens up
The Canucks are hosting the New York Islanders tonight and this game will mark the former captain's return to Vancouver.
Horvat was traded to the Islanders a little under a year ago in a package deal that saw Aatu Raty, Anthony Beauvilier and a 1st Round Pick making the ride back to Vancouver. Horvat then inked a massive 8-year-deal which will be paying him an astonishing $68M.
Horvat has, since then, directed comments at the team's management and today the former captain was asked to comment on how he felt since the trade and his one-line answer said it all:
Bo Horvat on being traded from #Canucks to the #Isles:
"It felt good to be wanted somewhere." Clearly Horvat still holds harsh feelings toward the team's management that they chose to resign J.T. Miller over him. Through 13 games this season the $8.5M centerman collected 11 points, will he improve his stat line in Vancouver tonight?
