MAJOR | Big development regarding the five Canucks on waivers: Twenty-nine players waived today
The Canucks placed five of their players through waivers yesterday for the purpose of assignment to Abbotsford:
- Jett Woo
- Matt Irwin
- Sheldon Dries
- Jack Rathbone
- Zach Sawchenko
Teams had untold 14:00 ET to put their claim in and every Canuck cleared. To some analysts, it came as a surprise to see Rathbone clearing given his age, potential and NHL experience. A whole new list was submitted today and 29 players found themselves on waivers:
Jan Jenik, who had 23 points in 30 AHL games last year as 22 year-old, is definitely a name to keep an eye on. He was a 3rd Round Draft Pick back in 2018.
