MAJOR | Thatcher Demko adopted a major change in-season: It explains his success late in the season
Goaltenders always play key parts in a team success. Some teams rely on one goaltender, others on multiples like we've witness with the Golden Knights playoffs performance.
Thatcher Demko has developed into the top netminder in Vancouver and the team had a hard time finding their pace when he was injured for an extended period of time during the season. Demko came back, as healthy as ever and was a dominant force for the team after he had struggled during the early stages of the season.
Demko's secret regarding his performances has been revealed. It appears that Brock Boeser followed his lead and adopted a new strategy;
"Thatcher has changed the way he trains. He changed who he's training with...an outside consultant during the season...he felt so much better about his body at the end of the year." #Canucks
Demko came back with the team and displayed his full abilities. If he starts the season on that same note, can he carry the team to a playoffs spot? Obviously this change's had positives repercussion on his game, at a time where preparation is everything.
