MAJOR | The verdict is in regarding a possible Foote reunion in Vancouver
Rumours have circulated over the last week linking the Canucks and defenceman Cal Foote, who was not qualified by the Nashville Predators and became an unrestricted free agent today.
According to Rick Dhaliwal, who was on Sekeres & Price, the Canucks will not be signing Cal Foote during the free agency period.
"I checked in to see if the Canucks would have interest and was told 'this will not be a fit'...having a player with the dad on the staff is an awkward situation...Cal Foote is not going to happen in Vancouver." Dhaliwal said.
Foote, 24, is a right-shot defenceman who split the season between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Nashville Predators. In 50 games, the Denver native had seven points (two goals, five assists), 63 penalty minutes and was a plus-six.
