Canucks announce a new hire to the coaching staff

There's been lots of move on the Canucks' coaching staff over the last few days, and Patrik Allvin just announced another.

The Canucks first hired Manny Malhotra to take over from Jeremy Colliton, Mike Yeo then chose to part ways with the team. He was replaced by the Canucks', then, skills coach, Yogi Svejkovsky. In addition, Henrik and Daniel Sedin will have expanded roles in both Abbotsford and Vancouver.

Patrik Allvin just made a new hire, the team confirmed via their social media accounts that Jason Krog had been hired as the team's newest skills coach.

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that Jason Krog has joined the Canucks Organization as a Skills and Skating Coach and will work in both Vancouver and Abbotsford.

Krog, 48, from Fernie, BC. built quite the hockey resume through the years. He had quite the success at the NCAA where he played 152 games, he then splitted the next few years between the AHL and the NHL playing 4 games for the Canucks during his journey.

Following a successful AHL journey, he went to spend a few years in Europe before retiring to enter a coaching career. Always known for his face-offs and offensive skills, he could wind up being a tremendous acquisition for the Canucks.
