The Vancouver Canucks lost their starting goaltender in, Thatcher Demko, after he went down with an injury in Game 1 of the first round against the Nashville Predators. Casey DeSmith and Arturs Silovs have filled the team's goal in the absence of Demko.

While he has yet to return, and the Canucks are in the midst of a gruelling second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers, it appears as though he may be making his way closer to a potential return. On his daily show Donnie and Dhali, Canucks insider stick Dhaliwal just informed that Demko would most likely be ready for game 6 or 7:

I still hear he can be ready for Game 6 or 7. Looking more like Game 7. If that happens, what do you do?

Given the Canucks currently boast a 2-1 series lead, at least Game 5 is guaranteed. Should the Oilers win one game at minimum, Game 6 will be confirmed. There rests a chance that Canucks fans will be Demko's return should this series be extended to the final possible games.

Silovs has been lights out in Demko's absence. He made 42 saves on Sunday night as Vancouver won 4-3 to lead the series. He also posted a series-clinching shutout in Game 6 of the first round against the Predators in his third career playoff start.

Game 4 will be played on Tuesday night, with potential return dates for Demko being Saturday's Game 6 or Monday's Game 7, if applicable. If Demko wound up being available for either one of those games, would you start the Vezina Nominee, or would you ride or die with the young Silovs?
