The Vancouver Canucks roster is all but set, but with less than $100,000 in wiggle room underneath the salary cap, they may need to open up some more space if they intend to once again make additions throughout the season.

One twitter user thinks that could mean that the Canucks seek new homes for depth players, namely defenceman Noah Juulsen and forward Nils Aman.

Both players would open up a bit more cap room for the Canucks to accrue cap space towards the trade deadline.

My guess is VAN will try and move either Juulsen ($775k) or Aman ($825k) to create a little more room in the cap.

While Vancouver's roster looks all but set, there are a few youngsters like Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Aatu Räty knocking on the door, so a player like Aman's spot on the roster may be in jeopardy anyways - and he projects as the 13th or 14th forward when Dakota Joshua returns from treatment for a cancerous tumour.

Juulsen is currently the frontrunner to secure the #7 defenceman job he had for much of last season, the 27 year old has been a steady presence since coming to Vancouver, and makes league minimum.

While a move is not absolutely necessary, the Canucks will only have a few options if they want to create more cap flexibility.
