The Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers had an intense game on Friday night and there was plenty of missed calls by the officials throughout the contest.

In the first period of Game 2, Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson was hit in a dangerous position by Edmonton Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse and it wasn't called by the officials.

Pettersson had the puck down below the Oilers net and Darnell Nurse comes in to lay a big hit on the 25-year-old, who was in a vulnerable position. The hit caused Pettersson to smack his head on the boards and was down on the ice holding his head for a few seconds afterwards, before getting back up. But thankfully for the Vancouver Canucks, Pettersson was okay and stayed in the game.

There were a few other missed calls throughout the game too including a slewfoot by Evander Kane on Quinn Hughes and a high-stick by Connor McDavid that left Hughes bleeding and with a cut on his cheek.

The Canucks would go on to lose the game in overtime by a score of 4-3 as Edmonton tied up the series. Ian Cole tried to block Evan Bouchard's pass, but it would deflect off his stick and past Arturs Silovs to give the Oilers the victory.

Game 3 in Edmonton between the Canucks and Oilers is set for Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and CBC.
