LATEST | Canucks involved in a heated exchange during practice: Teammates come to blow as the intensity rises
The Canucks weren't happy with the result of their Wednesday night game against Colorado, and it showed.
The team had an intense practice on Thursday, which led to teammates Connor Garland and Filip Hronek coming to blows during a drill.
While the gloves stayed on and reports say the bout didn't last for long, both players were heated.
Head Coach Rick Tocchet said sometimes guys need to get that out of their system.
I think guys need it, but you've got to be smart, too... But I don't mind a little bit of battle. Just don't hurt each other.
The Canucks allowed 4 straight goals to lose in overtime to the Avalanche on Wednesday, and their frustration was clear on Thursday.
While still leading the Western Conference, they've hit some turbulence of late and Wednesday night's choke job sent them over the edge, they're hopeful an intense practice is enough to turn things around.
