The Canucks managed the end their roadtrip on a good note with a 4-2 win over the Blackhawks in Chicago. Dakota Joshua will be remembered as the hero in this one as the Canucks' 81 collected one goal, two assists and a fight late in the third to complete a very rare Gordie Howe hat-trick.
Joshua factored in on Conor Garland's first goal to collect a third of the GH Hatty, he then scored a beauty of a goal and sealed the deal when he dropped the gloves to Mackenzie Entwistle after a questionnable hit on Garland:
Fun fact: the all-time leader in Gordie Howe Hat Tricks in NHL history is none other than Rick Tocchet. #Canucks
Joshua is currently on the last miles of a two-year deal with the Canucks. He'll definitely be looking at a raise, it'll be intriguing to see how Allvin manages this situation.
