Report: Teams Around the NHL Are Told to Expect Brock Boeser to be Available at the Trade Deadline
Team around the National Hockey League are expecting Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser to be available at the trade deadline in early March.
The National Hockey League's trade deadline is just 38 days away and while we already know that there's a chance that
J.T. Miller and/or
Elias Pettersson could be on the move any day now, another Vancouver Canucks forward may also be on the block.
Entering the 2024-25 season, Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser had a lot to prove and he needed to show that last year's 40-goal campaign wasn't a fluke.
Boeser is also in the final year of his contract, which furthers the need for a massive year in order to earn the big bucks whether it be from the Vancouver Canucks or another team on the open market this summer.
Last month,
it was revealed by Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos that Brock Boeser was looking for an eight-year contract in the $8 million AAV range and at this time, it's unclear how talks are going between his camp and the Vancouver Canucks brass.
"Any team that's not doing well, there's going to be changes. I haven't played to my best this year, and I expect better for myself and, you know, I'm a UFA at the end of the year. So they could look at me and be like, 'He's the easy guy (to trade) right now.'" Boeser said.

Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects
shared in a post on social media this morning that sources have indicated to him that teams expect Brock Boeser to be available at the trade deadline unless the Vancouver Canucks have a major turnaround in the coming weeks.
Robinson went on to add that if Boeser does remain with the Canucks beyond the March 7th trade deadline, then he's expected to make it to July 1st as a free agent, with multiple teams in the mix for him on a long-term deal.
"Sources indicate that many teams expect Brock Boeser to be available at the deadline barring a serious Canucks turnaround.
If he does stay through this season, he'll likely be available on July 1, and a healthy group will be vying for his services on a long-term deal - something the Canucks appear wary of doing at this time." Robinson said.
Boeser, 27, has appeared in 42 games this season for the Canucks where he's registered 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists), 16 penalty minutes and is a minus-ten.
If the Canucks were to entertain offers for Brock Boeser leading up to the trade deadline, there's a good chance they could end up with a decent haul in return for the Burnsville, Minnesota native.
