The Vancouver Canucks wrapped up their three-game road trip on Saturday night as they took on the Los Angeles Kings. Los Angeles took the win by a score of 6-3, with the Canucks finishing their road trip with a 1-2-0 record.

It's been a rough go for the Canucks, while they have been picking up wins here and there, they haven't beat a team in a playoff position in nearly one month, against Winnipeg on March 9th, the same night Thatcher Demko got injured.

However, it's not solely on the goaltenders that the Canucks have a 5-5-1 record in Demko's absence. The team needs to pick it up in the scoring department especially on the powerplay.

Following the loss, Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet met with the media and told reporters that he thought his team was trying hard, but they made too many mistakes, which led to the Kings scoring six goals.

"We had some chances. They converted, we didn't... You can look at the score and think it's bad... guys were trying hard. Just too many egregious mistakes, then it's in your net."

It'll be a quick turnaround for the Vancouver Canucks, who host the Golden Knights tomorrow night, as they hope to go on a bit of a hot streak before the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin in 13 days. As of Sunday morning, the Canucks are lined up to face the Golden Knights in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and tomorrow night's game at Rogers Arena will provide fans an opportunity to see that potential playoff preview.

Puck drop for Monday night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights at Rogers Arena is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET and can be viewed nationally across Canada on Sportsnet One.
