Coming off an unsuccessful 5-game road trip, the Vancouver Canucks prepare to face-off against the Anaheim Ducks at home in Rogers Arena, the team has made the decision to let go of one of their top forward prospects.

Now as a team on the outside looking in on a Stanley Cup Playoff spot and the NHL trade deadline coming quickly, the Vancouver Canucks are desperate to find answers on their roster that give them the best chance moving forward.
With that in mind, the decision to have a young forward depart could be for multiple reasons.

Arshdeep Bains sent down to Abbotsford Canucks in the AHL

All season long, general manager Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks have been really effective with managing their cap by calling-up and sending down young players on off-days to accumulate the most amount money in order to have the space to potentially acquire a big name at the deadline.
With this is mind, it appears that this is not what the Canucks are doing as Vancouver reporter Jeff Patterson has discovered they sent top forward prospect Arshdeep Bains down to the American Hockey League in a strange manner.
looks like Arshdeep Bains has been returned to Abbotsford. Was at #Canucks practice yesterday, but on longer showing on their #NHL roster. Roster at 22 for the moment.
It is strange for the fact that every team, Canucks included always announce when they make a roster transaction to inform the fanbase who they can expect on the roster.
But, as reported above by Patterson, they did not make a post or announcement today when Bains was left off the roster and added to the Abbotsford Canucks lineup.
The reality is, it would not be that surprising that Bains is not with the big club as he's been fairly disappointing this season, scoring just 1 goal in 13 games.
It feels that the 24-year-old is in limbo with his career, struggling at the NHL level but excelling in the AHL scoring 7 Goals and 20 Assists for 27 points in 32 games with Abbotsford.
