At 18:14 of the very first period, the Flyers were making a routine breakout of the defensive zone when Tyler Myers was making a pinch to keep the puck in against Farabee. It appeared as he went to lay a check his right knee got caught in between the legs of Farabee and hyper extended and immediately feel to the ice wincing in pain.

The big defenceman appeared to know right away that he was in trouble as he reached to clutch his knee and lay practically motionless on the ice. The officials blew the play dead and Canucks athletic therapist Roman Kaszczij was quickly on the scene.

He stayed down for a couple of minutes in visible pain and needed assistance from the medical staff and fellow teammates to help him get to the Canucks dressing room.

As it stands right now, there are no updates on what the extent of his injury is, but it was announced that the injury is severe enough that it will keep him from returning to the game.

If Myers is out for a lengthy period of time, the right side of the Canucks' defense could be in trouble, as big D-man Vincent Desharnais, who just signed to a two-year, $4 million contract in the summer, was healthy scratch for tonight's game after a disappointing Canuck debut against the Flames.
