The Canucks (37-29-13) kick off a three-game homestand to wrap up their season as they welcome the Minnesota Wild (43-29-7) to Rogers Arena tonight.

Vancouver Canucks forward prospect Ty Mueller will make his NHL debut on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild

Mueller will center the 2nd line between the team's leading scorers Jake Debrusk and Brock Boeser. In his rookie season with Abbotsford, the 22-year-old Edmonton native has tallied 12 goals and 38 points over 62 games.

Daniel Wagner took to X earlier today to break the news.
"Ty Mueller, who has shown some steady progression in the AHL with 12 points in his last 12 games, will make his NHL debut with the #Canucks on Saturday night. Preview time, open all the doors and let you out into the world." -Wagner
Mueller steps into the lineup in place of Max Sasson, who was injured during Thursday's 4-1 win in Colorado. Kevin Lankinen, who made 31 saves in that game, will start again tonight with Thatcher Demko feeling under the weather. Lankinen previously stopped a season-high 37 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Wild on March 7.
Jeff Paterson from the Canucks Army writes that Canucks' head coach Rick Tocchet has high hopes for the future NHLer.
"Really intelligent guy that can skate. He's got some really good attributes and I think it's important that a guy like that gets a taste. And then what he sees from tonight, he has to work on in the summer. Plus he's got big playoff games coming with Abbotsford. I think there is something there with this kid.» -Tocchet

Here's what Mueller had to say earlier today on making his NHL debut tonight.
«It's pretty cool. It's pretty exciting. I came off the ice at morning skate in Abbotsford; we had a game I was about to play last night and then RJ (Ryan Johnson) called me and let me know. It was a pretty cool call.» -Mueller

The Canucks have gone back and forth over their last seven games at home, posting a 3-4 record. This season, they hold a 16-15-7 mark at Rogers Arena, a noticeable drop from last year's strong 27-9-5 home performance.
