Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin has announced the call-up of two players from the American Hockey League under emergency conditions.

The Vancouver Canucks are getting ready for their third-last game of the 2024-25 season and they're looking to give fans at Rogers Arena something to cheer about as they face the Minnesota Wild.
Earlier on Saturday, reports came out saying that the Vancouver Canucks were calling up forward Ty Mueller from the AHL and it appears that the team has made that official, along with another player bring brought up for tonight's game.

Vancouver Canucks Announce Two Call-Ups from Abbotsford (AHL)

In a social media post on Saturday, the Vancouver Canucks announced that forward Ty Mueller and goaltender Nikita Tolopilo are being called up under emergency conditions.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that G Nikita Tolopilo and F Ty Mueller have been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL) under emergency conditions." the Canucks said.
"VANCOUVER IS GETTING SOME GOOD ONES!" the Abbotsford Canucks said.
Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet met with reporters where he explained that the reason for the call-ups is because goaltender Thatcher Demko is sick, while forward Max Sasson is a little banged up and won't be in the lineup tonight.
Tocchet confirmed that Ty Mueller, who signed with the club last spring, will be making his National Hockey League debut tonight.
"Rick Tocchet says Max Sasson is banged up, so won't play tonight. Ty Mueller will make his NHL debut. Demko is sick. Centre Elias Pettersson is being shut down and won't return for the final three games." Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet said.
Mueller, 22, has registered 38 points (12 goals, 26 assists), 24 penalty minutes and is a plus-13 in 62 games for Abbotsford in his first season of professional hockey.
Tolopilo, a native of Minsk, Belarus, has a record of 18-14-2 in 34 games with Abbotsford this season along with a 2.68 goals against average, a .901 save percentage and four shutouts.
Puck drop for tonight's game against the Minnesota Wild is set for 7 pm PT and can be viewed on CBC and Sportsnet as part of Hockey Night in Canada.
