Ahead of Sunday's game against Utah Hockey Club, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet has given an update on forward Filip Chytil.

Vancouver Canucks forward Filip Chytil was on the receiving end of a dangerous hit from Jason Dickinson during Saturday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks, which forced him to head back to the dressing room for the remainder of the game.
Not only did Jason Dickinson avoid getting penalized for the hit last night, he also escaped any supplemental discipline from the NHL's Department of Player Safety and now, it looks like Vancouver will be without Filip Chytil for a bit.

Rick Tocchet gives update on Filip Chytil

Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet met with reporters ahead of Sunday's game against Utah where he shared an unfortunate update on the status of Filip Chytil.
Tocchet told the media that Filip Chytil will miss tonight's game with a concussion and remains in concussion protocol, despite feeling alright today.
The Canucks head coach added that the team is going to wait and see how he feels over the next 48 hours before making a decision on whether or not he'll accompany them on their six-game road trip beginning Thursday in St. Louis.
"Rick Tocchet says Filip Chytil is out tonight with a concussion. Said he felt okay today, but is in the protocol. They'll see how he is over the next 48 hours before deciding if he'll go on the trip." Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet said in a post on X.
Chytil, 25, has an extensive history with concussions in his National Hockey League career, suffering at least four during his time with the New York Rangers.
With Filip Chytil unable to play tonight against Utah Hockey Club, it looks like there's a good chance Jonathan Lekkerimaki will draw back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch for the last two games.
Puck drop for tonight's game against Utah Hockey Club is set for 5 pm PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
