With less than 24 hours until the National Hockey League's trade deadline, some big news has been announced regarding Elias Pettersson's availability.

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin could be quite busy between now and 12 pm PT and has already made one deal, sending Carson Soucy to the New York Rangers, but there will be some other names to keep an eye on including Brock Boeser, Pius Suter, Derek Forbort and...Elias Pettersson?
Following the J.T. Miller trade at the end of January, reports circulated that said the Vancouver Canucks have taken Elias Pettersson off the trade block and while that might be the case still, it appears the team is at least considering the possibility of moving him by tomorrow at Noon PT.

Vancouver Canucks reportedly listening to offers on Elias Pettersson

According to Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects, the Vancouver Canucks are listening to trade offers on Swedish forward Elias Pettersson ahead of the deadline.
"I'm hearing that Vancouver is once again listening on Elias Pettersson ahead of tomorrow's deadline." Robinson said.
It's been a tough season for Elias Pettersson as he's struggled to produce offensively, registering just 11 goals in 55 games throughout the 2024-25 campaign and 19 goals in his last 101 games including the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Elias Pettersson owned up to his struggles and promised that he would give his all in the final six weeks of the regular season.
Due to those aforementioned struggles, along with his contract situation (7 years x $11.6 million AAV remaining following 2024-25), insiders believe it'll be to hard to trade him, but all it takes is one call from a team in need of help down the middle to try and buy low on the Sundsvall, Sweden native.
One team to keep an eye on, according to Pete Blackburn of the What Chaos! Show is the New Jersey Devils, as someone told him don't be surprised if the two teams might work on a deal regarding Elias Pettersson, especially with Jack Hughes out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
"Pete Blackburn on the What Chaos Podcast said that "a little birdie" told him in his ear to not be surprised if the New Jersey Devils are cooking something up with the Vancouver Canucks and Elias Pettersson." 👀"
We'll see where things go on the Elias Pettersson front tomorrow, but if he is available, along with Mikko Rantanen of the Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand, it could be one of the biggest trade deadlines in National Hockey League history.
