Vancouver Canucks provides much anticipated injury update on J.T. Miller
After suffering to what seemed to be a minor injury against the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet provides an anticipated injury update on his star centerman J.T. Miller.
The Canucks are still on the road for their final game of the road trip as they take on Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow (October 22nd). As the team to to the ice this morning for practice, fans began to get worried when they did not see Miller on the ice.
Attendance notes as the gate closes:
- J.T. Miller (upper) doesn't appear to be on the ice.
- Joshua is with the main group in a non-contact sweater.
- No Demko (knee).
- Forbort (personal) has yet to rejoin the group.
Head coach Rick Tocchet provides injury update on J.T. Miller
First and foremost, the team did say Millers absence from practice was intentional as he is dealing with some pains and needs a, what they call a "Maintenance day". After practice, Tocchet spoke to the media about Millers injury and if he will be available to play Tuesday Vs. the Blackhawks.
Tocchet says he'd hesitate to describe J.T. Miller as questionable for Tuesday night at Chicago.
Club will see tomorrow if he's able to take draws. Tocchet wouldn't commit to Miller being in the lineup for sure, but read between the lines he seems to be trending well - Thomas Drance
As of right now, his availability for next game is still up in the air, but if you ask us, there is nothing too serious going on, they are just giving him the day to rest before they face off in their final game of the road trip.
