*BREAKING* Roope Hintz inks massive extension with the Stars
The Stars have just announced that they have signed their number one center, Roope Hintz to a $8.45M per year for the next 8 years.
The Finnish forward was drafted 49th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft. He had a break out year in 2020-21 in the covid shortened season, when he registered 43 points in 41 games.
The two way centerman has kept it up since then, scoring 37 goals and 35 assists for a career high of 72 points in 80 games. This year, he and Jason Robertson have been the main reason for the Stars' success. He already has 24 points after 22 outings.
Although Hintz is 26 years old, Horvat's offensive numbers haven't been as impressive in the last two years, but Horvat plays a much more complete game. Be certain Horvat's agent will use this deal to bargain his client's future salary.
