The Pittsburgh Penguins recently made a shocking move by placing Kasperi Kapanen on waivers. Today, what was the Penguins loss is now the Blues gain.
As Sportsnet Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman revealed, St. Louis Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong has claimed Kapanen off waivers today.
The 26-year-old has had a decline his offence this year with just seven goals, and 13 assists in 43 games, but to be fair, so has a lot of the Penguins players this season. Kapanen has one year remaining on his current contract that pays him $3.2 million.
