The 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship is only three weeks away and participating nations are beginning to get their rosters set for the tournament.

For the Canucks, they already have two representatives going to the tournament in Elias Pettersson (Sweden) and Ethan Bear (Canada), but it appears that they'll have some company over in Finland and Latvia.

According to Finnish reporter Miikka Lahtinen, USA Hockey has received confirmation from Canucks forward Conor Garland regarding his participation in the tournament.

Garland, 27, has represented his nation once before and that came at the 2021 World Championship in Latvia. In ten games, he exploded for 13 points and was named to the tournament all-star team, as the United States took home bronze.

Canucks fans will need to keep an eye on the final day of the preliminary round on May 23rd as Pettersson and Garland will go head-to-head in what will likely end up being a massive game for medal round seeing. Puck drop for that game will be early, at 6:20 a.m. PT.
