Leon Draisaitl wanted nothing to do with Alex Pietrangelo in handshake after their elimination
The Oilers had their back against the wall last night and the Golden Knights capitalize and sent them packing.
Hockey is a very physical and passionate game, in the playoffs, everything cranks up a notch. After a hard-fought series, it's not unusual for players to shake it off and move on, but it wasn't the case for the Oilers' star player Leon Draisaitl when he faced Alex Pietrangelo.
Pietrangelo seemed to be ready to bury the hatchet, but Draisaitl only remembered the two-handed slash he handed him in game 4. Rather than the cordial exchange we normally witness, Draisaitl refused to even look at Pietrangelo and dismissed him in a hurry.
Can't really blame Draisaitl after Pietrangelo's violent attempt to injure him. Hopefully, the resentment he feels for Pietrangelo can only grow the rivalry between the two teams. Up to this point, people are still wondering if Pietrangelo's suspension was enough, had he been suspended for more than one game, would we have lived a different outcome?
