The Buffalo Sabres have silently snuck back into the playoff picture so losing players to injuries isn't something they are hoping for, especially when it's one of their stars.
The Buffalo Sabres just announced that forward Alex Tuch has been placed on injured reserve. Tuch left the game during the 3rd period Friday night vs the Panthers.
Tuch came over to the Sabres as part of the package for Jack Eichel and he has become a breakout star since the trade. Tuch was having a career high season with 28 goals and 34 assists in 57 games in 2022-23.
You wonder if the Sabres might possibly try to make a big trade ahead of Friday's NHL trade deadline to replace Tuch for the time-being?
