TRADE ALERT | Avalanche acquire former Stanley Cup winning centerman
The Avalanche won a Stanley Cup last year while being led by their star centerman Nathan Mackinnon.
They have previously re-acquired Jack Johnson in their attempt for back to back Stanley Cup and Pierre Lebrun has just announced that Lars Eller will be joining the reigning champs.
Eller was part of the Washington Capitals when they won the cup a few years back. He's been identified has one of the best 3rd line centerman and has definitely proven is worth.
The Avs surrendered a 2nd Round Selection in the 2025 Draft. The Caps will retain 31% percent of Eller's $3.5M AAV until July 1st where he will hit the free agency market freely.
