The Vancouver Canucks had one of the most lethal of his time in Donald Brashear. All the way back to 1997.

Brashear was known for his ability to take care of his teammates and he definitely never tried to hide away from a fight. Even the league's best goal scorer, Alex Ovechkin, holds him in high esteem and wishes he'd still be by his side. Even though Ovy doesn't need protection. That is according to what he said in an interview he gave earlier this season.

Even though Brashear retired from the NHL all the way back in 2010, he's still in the best of shapes playing in senior hockey leagues in Quebec. He plays for the Wendake Black Jack and this weekend he reminded not one but two opponents why they shouldn't dare mess with him when he's around :

Brashear is only known for his protecting abilities since along with his 103 penalty minutes, he has 12 points through 10 games.

For good old time sake, here's one of his best tilts facing another elite enforcer in Tie Domi:

Donald Brashear had quite a successful career in the NHL, he shared 16 seasons between the Montreal Canadiens, the Vancouver Canucks, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Washington Capitals, and a short stint with the New York Rangers.

During his time in the big league, he registered nothing less than 2634 penalty minutes, 205 points and 1025 games.
