From the clips we've seen before, the intensity level displayed was definitely different. Though it's hard to be sure from an 8-second clip. With a new boss in town, the players will try and prove their worth with a higher intensity level. We'll have to wait and see if it remains this way.
From the journalists that were in Rogers Place, what caught everybody's eyes is the new revamped lineup in place since Tocchet clearly played with the players' positioning in the lineup.
Jack Studnicka now occupies a top seat alongside Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser. Sheldon Dries also gets a promotion sitting with Conor Garland and J.T. Miller renews with centerman action. Tocchet really has confidence in his abilities if he believes Miller will be better in the middle rather then on the wings.
He also reunited the Mikheyev-Pettersson-Kuzmenko line, every opportunity they had together they displayed great things on the ice. Joshua, Lazar and Lockwood occupied the 4th line while Pederson was the extra man.
The defensive top-6 also showed big changes. OEL skated with Luke Schenn while Quinn Hughes was with the giant Tyler Myers. It's hard to see where Ethan Bear fits in the lineup as he still hasn't made its way back to the ice since Saturday.
The Canucks will only renew with action on Tuesday when the Blackhawks will come down for a visit, do you like the new changes Tocchet brought?
