A family from Fort St John, BC. has reached out to us for help in a very particular demand. Hayden, 15, who was diagnosed with autism when he was only 2 years old. He absolutely adores the game of hockey. To this point, it was his mom's belief that the young man was very fond of the Canucks. Though it appears that, like many of us, he appreciates the game on every level and every team that happens to play on tv.
Hayden's mom sent us a heartfelt video, in which she explains her son's condition and expresses his wish to gather jerseys from all 32 NHL teams. Obviously, the cost related to such acquisitions makes it hard for any parent to fulfill their kid's wishes.
Through a few Christmas and Birthday gifts Hayden was able to gather jerseys from the Pens, the Kraken, the Leafs, and the Oilers. He's unfortunately grown out of the Canucks' jersey he's been holding to for the past few years. Can the Hockey community step together and help this young fella with the 29 jerseys missing from his collection?
If you happen to know someone who could be of help or if you have an NHL Jersey you'd like to donate. DM the Canucks Hockey Insiders directly so we can put you in touch. Please share and comment so it reaches as many people as possible to help this young NHL fan!
