WATCH | Sheldon Dries launches a massive open hit, and delivers the fight of the year
It's well-known that the league has been trying to eliminate fights after clean hits and they the officials have started to call the instigating penalty on a more frequent basis after such occurrences.
Against the Kings tonight, Sheldon Dries delivered a massive open-ice hit which then led to Sean Durzi jumping him to avenge his fallen teammate. Dries was not afraid to get dirty in this one and took the invitation to dance:
Dries is one of those forwards that will have to fight for his spot on the roster when he comes to training camp in September. Has he done well enough to remain in the big leagues? Dries manages 11 goals and 7 assists in 60 games this year in Vancouver and his versatility hasn't gone unnoticed, does he deserve his spot in 2023-2024?
