WOW: Hughes is 5 assists away from breaking an All-Time NHL record
Quinn Hughes has been an excellent puck distributor so far this season. Nothing out of the usual for him, since he always excelled in that part of the game.
One thing that stands out of the 23 games he has played, is that he still hasn't found the back of the net? Is it something to worry about? Not really. The Canucks' offensive side of the game is on point and Hughes collected 25 assists through 23 games, which ranks him 4th in the NHL in that category.
What's really intriguing is that Hughes is on way to mark the NHL record book for the most points in a season without scoring. The current record is 29 points and Hughes' got 25. He would be breaking that mark if he were to register 5 more assists before scoring a goal.
Who would've thought that this was going to be a record that Quinn Hughes would break?
