The Canucks have been active on the trade market, and it's been stated by many insiders that even after acquiring Sam Lafferty from the Leafs, they still weren't done with their shopping.

BLUE JACKETS' ROSTER MANAGEMENT SUGGESTS A TRADE IS COMING?

The Blue Jackets announced their opening night roster, and two important names were healthy scratch, the BC native and 2021 fifth overall pick Kent Johnson along with the 2018 eight overall Adam Boqvist:

The team's recent additions don'tit odd to have Boqvist scratched, but seeing Johnson in the gallery is In his rookie season, the youngster played in 79 games, notched 40 points and finished fifth in team scoring.

CANUCKS TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE BLUE JACKETS

There's an obvious need for help on the Canucks' right defensive side. Could Adam Boqvist be a fit for the Tocchet's game plan? A solid two-way defenceman with lots of offensive upside?

While the Canucks have their share of wingers already, a home-grown talent such as Kent Johnson should trigger interest. He has an elevated IQ, smooth-as-silk hands and a point-producing machine, so he's not the type of guy you say no to. As a 17-year-old, the Port Moody native had registered 101 points in 52 BCHL games.

If you were Allvin, what assets would you be willing to move to acquire their talents?
