Former Vancouver Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko is on the move as the Russian forward will now get a fresh start once again, this time in the Eastern Conference.

Tomorrow marks one year since the Vancouver Canucks traded Andrei Kuzmenko to the Calgary Flames and now it looks like the 28-year-old is on the move again.

Calgary Flames have traded former Vancouver Canuck Andrei Kuzmenko

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, Calgary Flames forward Andrei Kuzmenko has been held out of the team's lineup for their game tonight against Anaheim Ducks as the club is working on a trade which will send him to the Philadelphia Flyers.
Seravalli added that the deal has not been completed just yet, with the Flyers still currently in action against the New York Islanders, but things have progressed to a point where Kuzmenko needed to be scratched.
"Sources say #Flyers and #Flames are working on a trade involving forward Andrei Kuzmenko.

Deal has not yet been agreed upon, but progressed to point where Kuzmenko has been held out of Calgary lineup." Seravalli said.
It's worth noting as well that, assuming this trade does get done, Andrei Kuzmenko will be reunited with 2023 seventh overall pick Matvei Michkov.
Kuzmenko and Michkov were teammates in the KHL with SKA St. Petersburg during the 2021-22 season where the former tallied 53 points in 45 games before signing with the Vancouver Canucks as a free agent.
The Yakutsk, Russia native is in the final year of a two-year contract he signed when he was with the Vancouver Canucks that comes with a cap hit of $5.5 million and he's set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
In 37 games this season with Calgary, Kuzmenko has registered 15 points (four goals, 11 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a minus-seven.
More to come.
