LATEST | Canucks draft target Tom Willander talks about potentially being picked by the Canucks
The NHL amateur draft is just days away now, and this prospect pool being one of the deepest we've seen talent-wise over the last few years, the thrill is only getting started.
The Canucks will be the eleventh team to walk on that stage on Wednesday, and a variety of mock drafts has the Canucks picking the Swede defenseman, Tom Willander. A good-sized two-way defenseman, he surely fits the bill for the Canucks.
The prospect was interviewed by TSN's Mark Masters, who offered the young man the opportunity to speak about Vancouver and the Canucks' management team:
"Who doesn't like Vancouver? It's a great place, for sure. We'll see what happens, but sounds exciting."

6'01'' and 180 pounds, the scouting reports are quite promising for the young man:
''Willander's value stems from the combination of high-end skating and motor. He's always engaged defensively, using his dynamic posture and evasive footwork to guide attackers away from the middle and break up plays along the boards. When you add the fact that he's both strong and skilled and relentlessly competes for every puck he's a nightmare to play against. Even if you start or manage to gain an advantage, Willander has the quickness to recover most of the time.''

Do you think he's what the Canucks need? Will he be the best available player at number 11?
