Thursday, December 28th marked the end of the NHL's holiday roster freeze and teams were allowed to use the waiver wire once again.
According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings used this opportunity to place two players on waivers, those being Tyson Jost and Michael Hutchinson.
Placed on NHL waivers today: Michael Hutchinson (DET) and Tyson Jost (BUF)." Johnston said.
Jost, a former 10th overall pick of Colorado in 2016, has appeared in 29 games for the Buffalo Sabres this season, putting up four points (two goals, two assists), eight penalty minutes and is a minus-seven. The 25-year-old hasn't played in the AHL since the 2018-19 season.
