SIGNING ALERT | After failed trade, Tony DeAngelo finally finds his way back to the Hurricanes
It was reported that the Hurricanes and the Flyers had a trade in place, trade that mainly sent Tony DeAngelo back to the Hurricanes. However, the trade couldn't go through and the Flyers ended up being him out.
After being bought out by the Rangers a few years back, DeAngelo became the first player in history he bought out twice in his career. Due to the circumstances, DeAngelo found himself right back on the free agent market and the Hurricanes have just made an announcement in that regard.
After he was bought out by the Rangers, DeAngelo joined the Hurricanes where he collected an impressive 51 points in 64 games. He'll be joining an already stacked defensive group made of Brent Burns, Jaccob Slavin, Brady Skjei and Brett Pesce, to only name these four.
If the Canes' forwards manage to remain healthy, they'll be serious contenders to the cup.
