LATEST | 26-year-old forward decides to leave the NHL
In 2020, after parts of four seasons in the National Hockey League with the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs, forward Denis Malgin decided to return to Europe.
After two seasons in Switzerland, Malgin return to North America, signing with the Maple Leafs for the 2022-23 season, before being traded to Colorado in December.
Now, for the second time, Malgin is leaving North America and has signed a five-year contract with the ZSC Lions in Switzerland's National League.

"Denis has proven that he is one of the best strikers in the National League. He will help us in goal production and, as a right-hand shooter, make our offensive more unpredictable," says sports director Sven Leuenberger.
Malgin, a native of Olten, Switzerland appeared in 257 career games in the NHL with Florida, Toronto and Colorado where he put up 81 points (41 goals, 40 assists), 50 penalty minutes and was a minus-16.
