LATEST | Former Canuck Cody Hodgson finding his stride in return to professional hockey
In January, former Vancouver Canucks first-round pick Cody Hodgson shocked many in the hockey world when he ended his eight-year long retirement to return to the professional game.
After the 2015-16 season, Hodgson called it a career after discovering he was dealing with a disease called malignant hyperthermia, but in January, decided he wanted to give it a go again and signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals.
After slow first couple of games, which is understandable given his lengthy stint on the sidelines, Hodgson has found his stride and on Friday night, found the back of the net twice and has now scored in four straight games.
"HODGE'S 4TH GOAL IN 4 STRAIGHT GAMES!

"CODY HODGSON, ARE YOU SERIOUS!!
#MILhockey"
Hodgson, a native of Toronto, Ontario, has put up five goals in six games for the Admirals this season and is certainly starting to look like the player that was selected tenth overall by Vancouver back in 2008.
It'll be interesting to see what he decides to do this summer and if any National Hockey League teams come calling interested in his services. It certainly seems like Hodgson wants to return to the National Hockey League and there's no doubt that if he continues his strong run of play for the rest of the season, he'll receive, at minimum, a PTO offer this summer.
