MAJOR | Arrest made following tragic passing of former NHLer Adam Johnson
Just over two weeks after former NHL player Adam Johnson passed away after his neck was cut by a skate, a man has been arrested according to the BBC.
"We have been carrying out extensive inquiries to piece together the events which led to the loss of Adam in these unprecedented circumstances.
"We have been speaking to highly specialised experts in their field to assist in our inquiries and continue to work closely with the health and safety department at Sheffield City Council, which is supporting our ongoing investigation.
"Adam's death has sent shockwaves through many communities, from our local residents here in Sheffield to ice hockey fans across the world." South Yorkshire Police said.
While the name has not been released by the BBC or South Yorkshire Police, it is likely Matt Petgrave, a former AHLer, who's skate cut Adam Johnson in late-October.
More developments in this story are expected to come out in the days and weeks to follow.
